DISRUPTING THE PHOTONS
Disrupting the Photons is a two-part project:
The first is an oil and acrylic painting on canvas of 128x128cm. This painting depicts the flattened view of a human body. It is a UVmap, a “texture map” used to give color and material to a 3D object.
The second is a 2min30 video, in which a character, covered with the painted texture, appears facing the sea in a Mediterranean landscape. This “ghost”, in the strict sense, seems lost in this materiality which is not its own, to the surface of which it struggles to adhere.
